Hello,
My name is Karen M, and I am a passionate and experienced carer .
As a female carer, I specialize in providing hourly and overnight care for individuals facing challenges such as mild cognitive impairment, being bedbound, Parkinson's disease, anxiety and depression and post - operative care and rehabilitation .
With my expertise in various care types, including bathing, toileting, dressing assistance, catheter care, and offering companionship; and an interest in nutrition and wound care , I strive to make a positive impact on the lives of those under my care.
I was a qualified nurse for over 40 years both in the NHS and Private care settings , including agency work as a home care nurse .
Although I may not drive or own a car, I am a dedicated carer and find fulfillment and satisfaction in assisting others with their daily needs and fostering a sense of independence and well-being.
In my free time, I enjoy engaging in activities such as walking; especially with my rescue dog , cooking and baking, gardening, playing board games, reading and watching films
These hobbies not only make me happy and relaxed but give me time to recharge so that I am able to put 100% effort into my work .
I live in the Filey area , North Yorkshire , for most of the year so I will be accepting work around that area .
When it comes to pets, I am happy to work in homes with cats, dogs, fish, rabbits, and birds and to undertake their care.
Known for my caring, friendly, and helpful nature, I approach each caregiving opportunity with empathy and dedication. My ultimate motivation in caring for others is to empower them to lead independent lives and find pleasure and fulfillment in their everyday experiences.
